Hilltop’s Virtual Appreciation Luncheon is the perfect way to celebrate those special coworkers, volunteers, supervisors, peers, or community partners who have made a difference in our lives. Please take a moment to read about those that were honored in this quarter’s luncheon:
Hollie has been the most amazing person to work with since I started with Hilltop earlier this month. She has helped me acclimate to my new role. Her positivity and willingness to answer questions or lend a helping hand is unlike anyone I’ve worked for in the past. Hollie makes each day better for her staff, co-workers, and the residents. Thank you, Hollie, for all you do.
BRIELLE FARRELL nominated by David Livingston
Brielle has been a great help to the Training Department during times of significant change. She always has a smile on her face and a laugh that keeps us all going. Brielle shares her technical prowess without reserve and can truly be counted on to be a part of the solution. She is an essential part of our team and I appreciate her terrific can-do attitude every day.
MELISSA GONZALEZ nominated by Ovella Fick
Melissa is consistently stepping up to the plate and is on call 24-7 with any needs that any employee or youth may have. She never hesitates to jump in where needed and takes on any request without hesitation. There are many times she is working at 5:30 a.m. and is still answering emails or calls at 10:00 p.m. Melissa exemplifies Hilltop’s mission statement and is a team member any supervisor would want on their team; we are blessed to have her on ours.
DEVIN SELLECK nominated by Lee Kenney
Devin has been instrumental in increasing the maintenance services’ productivity and income which has resulted in Hilltop programs having quick service at a lower cost. We recently started providing maintenance for Strive and The House, both large community non-profit organizations. Devin has been instrumental in coordinating the maintenance for these programs which has been a great new source of income for Hilltop. Devin has been a positive addition to our staff in Property Services and we thank him for all he does.
TIFFANY WAUGH nominated by Christie Higgins & Sheryl Click
Tiffany took over coordinating the SOS (Support our Seniors) Volunteer Transportation program several years ago and has grown it from 8 volunteers to over 20. She has created important program policies and procedures that help keep us on track with documentation and billing. She quickly stepped up and took over not only ADRC, but Western CO 2-1-1 Facebook page and increased followers and interactions on both pages. Finally, I want to acknowledge her for recently completing her MSW from DU all while still working full time. Tiffany Waugh you never skip a beat.
JEFF WRIGHT nominated by Tabby Wiiest
Jeff provides wonderful engagement opportunity for our staff and residents. He unloads and sets up all his music equipment and then takes song requests from staff and residents that he plays music for 3-4 hours every Friday for DJ Fridays. Each month LAP has a particular theme day which Jeff incorporates with his music choices and DJ skills. We all look forward to Fridays with Jeff, it gives everyone a great break from the every day events and keeps spirits high through these very challenging times. Thank you so much Jeff for always bringing the fun to our campus.
VICTORIA GAASCHE nominated by Ali Weatherby
From the day Victoria started at Hilltop she has gone above and beyond with learning the job. She never hesitates to take on new tasks and always is willing to help the entire team. She brings a sense of calm in stressful situations which is a very good quality, especially for human resources. The team is lucky to have such a smart, hardworking, and dedicated person.
ANDREA REYES nominated by Jamie Gonzales & Terri Phinnell
I would like Andrea Reyes to be recognized for so many reasons. Andrea has recently taken over some extra duties and projects for our Senior Life Options programs. She has spent long hours building our new cleaning team and working with vendors getting supplies that are not always easy to come by these days. She never appears stressed or overwhelmed; Andrea is always calm and kind. Every day she goes above and beyond for our team and for the programs we all serve. I am grateful to have such a wonderful supervisor that supports and understands all of us all and works hard right beside us.
JOSSIE MIRELES nominated by Sheri Mathes
Jossie is a dedicated and hard worker to all our clients at LAP. The residents love and respect her, and so do I. She has worked for Hilltop for several years never without a smile on her face and a kind word. Jossie embodies the spirit of FUN when engaging with others; she has a wonderful sense of humor and never hesitates to “go the extra mile” with all of our residents. When helping residents get ready for appointments she is never in a hurry and always takes as much time as each resident requires; she is so patient. I am not alone in my appreciation for Jossie, the Liaisons and Drivers at LAP feel the same way. We are very lucky to work with Jossie.
ANNIE EMMONS nominated by Heather Osborne
Annie is such a support to me in everything I do. She goes above and beyond with her job and with the residents every day as well as everyone on our team. Annie is a naturally cheerful person and it’s catchy. When her co-workers or the residents are around Annie the day is a whole lot better. Her smile shines through even with a mask on.
DHARMA JENSEN nominated by Viola Montoya
Dharma Jensen is my supervisor at the Commons as a Front Desk Screener and Support Staff. I’ve worked for Hilltop since 2019 and it’s been a pleasure working for Dharma. She always puts a lot of effort into our schedules and making sure it works for all of us. Dharma is kind and supportive, not just with my co-workers and me, but with other departments as well. She is always willing to lend a helping hand even when she isn’t asked. She is easy to talk with and makes life at Hilltop a positive experience. I really enjoy working with and for Dharma and I appreciate her each and every day.
COLLEEN ANDERSON nominated by Barbara Brown & Myah Lugo
Colleen is all about “People First”, especially her team. She is there to help not only us but her co-workers and all Hilltop employees. Her humor and fun nature kept us smiling throughout this last very challenging year. Colleen always takes the time to listen and her advice is given with understanding and kindness. She is a true leader and a friend. Myah and I have worked with Colleen for many years now and it has been a privilege.
