“Sadie Courtney is August‘s nominee for the Mission Champion. Sadie is Hilltop’s Accounting Supervisor and has been with us for over 4 years. She is being recognized for her excellent internal customer service and key role played in a number of complex yet important finance projects this year. Sadie is one of the primary project managers for the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget, helping budget owners use and understand the software, while also helping the IT department with a critical program upgrade to allow us to budget for salaries and benefits on a positional basis. She has also been instrumental in helping the Community Program departments build their budgets around the individual grants. Throughout this budget season, Sadie has become the “go-to” expert when questions or problems have arisen. She has answered questions timely and provided solutions that work. Her dedicated work within the Questica platform has greatly increased the usability of the program and the value and accuracy of the data. Because of this, Hilltop’s budget is more streamlined and easier to understand.

Another key role Sadie has filled for the Finance department this year is project manager on the Karis integration. She has provided bookkeeping support for Karis as well as tax and audit support. The Karis acquisition came with significant complexity both in the operation of their programs as well as the steps needed to fully integrate the accounts and activity into existing Hilltop processes. Circumstances required that she quickly get up to speed on Karis operations and how each account is used. 

Sadie has demonstrated tremendous Growth with her ability to take on these new responsibilities and manage them to success. She has created and fostered successful Relationships not only among her Finance team members but also throughout the rest of the organization. She is known as someone that is reliable and eager to help and she delivers timely results. She brings the Fun with her positive attitude and sense of humor. She serves as a great example of the Finance Department’s core values of providing support and transparent information to our Hilltop collogues.”
