“Devin Selleck’s work ethic, attitude, and overall general demeanor makes him a pleasure to work with. He is always so flexible and generous with any request made of him or his crew. It is one thing to say “sure no problem,” but Devin always makes the requestor feel that he is truly happy to help, which is an immense relief because we all know some requests are demanding.

It is apparent for all to see that Devin treats his staff with respect. He shows appreciation to his staff publicly and even for the little things. At the crack of dawn, coming back late at night, in the heat of the day, or in the rain/snow, Devin always has a smile on. He is quick with a joke with his lighthearted attitude, and is just so fun to work with.

He goes the extra mile especially for events like Men in Heels, SLO’s Garden Party, and the Recognition Banquet. Events are hard. They are usually always “extra” work for the maintenance crew on top of their normal duties to keep this place running, and the coordinators of said events usually have harebrained ideas of where things should go and how things should look- or that a GIANT DINOSAUR would be cool to have. Details tend to change on a moment’s notice and being able to “roll with the punches” and be flexible through the set up and tear down process is important.

Devin deserves  this Mission Award recognition based on the relationships he probably isn’t even aware he affects every day, his integrity in doing a job well, and his commitment to have fun with his staff and those around him.”
