Jessica has worked for Hilltop for over 6 years starting as an overnight staff at The Brown Center, transitioning to case manager and then being promoted to Program Coordinator. Jessica has grown into a leadership position and has become a highly regarded seasoned staff member. She is currently the CYDC Program Coordinator and the 7th Judicial District Coordinator. With each position has come growth in her ability to work with participants, supervise staff, learning how to work with Hilltop’s budget, growth in her collaboration skills with community partners to grow programs.
Jessica has excellent customer service and is able to build relationships with the youth and their parents, as well as community members and co-workers. She takes great pride in her work and ensures that her information is accurate. (Integrity) She is transparent with families, co-workers and her
supervisor, even when the discussions are hard.
Another supervisor said to me, “I just wanted you to know that lately I’ve been really impressed with Jessica’s leadership. From staff telling me about conversations they’ve had with her and the guidance she’s given them to her leadership in how to best work with a complex family. She’s been shining!” After discharging from her program one family sent her a thank you card. The following is part of what was written to Jessica: “Thank you for showing us different ways to deal. Thank you for your compassion. You are a blessing to our family. Thank you for impacting us in such a positive way.” The son wrote: “Thank you for helping me out when I needed you. Thank you for the advice. Thank you for believing in me.”
