Our mission is to create a safe, stigma-free community that supports mental health and suicide awareness, while fostering acceptance through advocacy, knowledge, and connection to promote a culture of understanding and belonging.

What the Health? Mental Health Matters.

This campaign aims to raise awareness and promote open conversations about mental health across Hilltop. Each month focuses on a specific mental health theme, offering resources, tools, and activities to support employees’ wellbeing. Together, we can break the stigma surrounding mental health and create a culture of understanding, support, and resilience.

October: Emotional Wellbeing and Resilience

What is Emotional Wellbeing and Resilience?
Emotional wellbeing refers to our ability to understand, manage, and express our emotions in healthy ways. Resilience is the capacity to bounce back from adversity, stress, or difficult experiences while maintaining our mental and emotional balance. Check out this week’s resources to learn more about Emotional Resilience and how we can be more in touch with our own resilience to prepare us for difficult circumstances.

Dr. Laura Biggart discusses emotional resilience, offering strategies to help individuals manage stress, especially in caregiving and social work roles. She emphasizes self-awareness, emotional regulation, and supportive relationships as essential tools for maintaining resilience while caring for others.

We’ve all heard that mindfulness is good for us, but what exactly is it? This quick 5-minute read explains the basics of mindfulness—being present in the moment without judgment. The article highlights how practicing mindfulness can reduce stress, improve emotional wellbeing, and build resilience. Take a moment to explore how mindfulness can support you.
