Hilltoppers,
Choosing just one amazing individual going above and beyond what is normally asked of them as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic is not possible. Once again in this unprecedented time, we are honoring four outstanding Hilltoppers as our May mission award winners!
Dillon Caster is in charge of Hilltop’s transportation, delivery, and warehouse operations. Managing a fleet of 28 vehicles, from sedans to commuter busses, and 19 utility vehicles/trailers is no small task. He also manages our warehouse that encompasses over 6,700 square feet. His “I’m ready – can do” attitude exemplifies what it means when you hear the term ‘we got this.’ Dillon’s efforts and support are invaluable to his department, the programs, and Hilltop as a whole.
Kaley Greenman works as the housing program case manager for Delta/Montrose. Always, but especially during these trying times, Kaley has been innovative and taken the initiative to proactively make sure her participants are served in the best possible way. Kaley’s passion for helping her clients is exciting and contagious, and our domestic violence/ sexual assault services is better for her efforts.
Brandi Black-Abbott is the housing program case manager for GJ. Brandi is always looking for creative ways to serve her clients in a meaningful way. Brandi’s smile lights up the room and although she is relatively new to Latimer House, she has shown through compassion and hard work that she is always willing to go the extra mile! She has quickly become a valuable team member and has earned the respect and admiration of her team and those she serves.
The final mission award winner is getting recognized for the second time in her tenure here at Hilltop. Back in 1994, Marlys Harman was given this award and it is high time we honor her with it again. We all know what an amazing caregiver Marlys is and during this pandemic it has come to light even more. On some days Marlys has returned over 100 calls per day. It is not just COVID-19 related issues, Marlys has to juggle, but all health related needs in the organization. In the daily briefing meetings Marlys attends, she never complains, stays positive and always, always wants to do the right thing. Marlys has had an overwhelming amount of information to keep straight and she’s done it with aplomb. Hilltop is incredibly lucky to have her watching over us.
Keep up the amazing work everyone! Together, we got this!
Mike
