Hilltoppers,
We normally recognize one exemplary staff member each month as our Mission Award recipient. However; this month has been like no other so we decided to break from tradition. With so many Hilltoppers going above and beyond during the COVID-19 outbreak, we felt it would be appropriate to recognize not one, but FOUR individuals from our residential facilities.
Marlyn Hawkes has proven instrumental in the daily operations of the kitchens at The Fountains and the success of this team as a whole. Marlyn can be seen on a regular basis walking through The Fountains to check in with the individuals in our care. In addition to her ongoing Prep Cook duties, she is also delivering meals to the Cottages and Patio Home residents to ensure they are receiving a hot meal every day.
As the QMAP Supervisor at The Commons, Kristy Nash uses her excellent critical thinking skills on a daily basis and does so with a bright smile and positivity. Kristy frequently asks herself and others “how do we make it better” and goes after her goals with determination and self-motivation.
Linda Williams has been an employee at the Life Adjustment Program since 2017. She has held several positons at LAP and with recent events has jumped back and forth into roles without blinking an eye. Linda can be heard saying, “I want to use my skills and talents the best I can.”
As the Recreation Coordinator for RYS, Krista Fox looks for new and fun ways to incorporate the interests of the residents, while challenging them to try something new. She brings joy and enthusiasm to everything she does. She is a guide, a mentor, a role model and a conduit for fun.
Thank you to everyone who is going above and beyond to help those that need it most right now.
Together, we got this
Mike
