Hilltoppers,

Earlier this week I talked about what it means to be an “essential employee”.  At Hilltop, we are all deemed essential by the State of Colorado.  However, there are those among us who are true frontline heroes. Our 24 hour, 7 day a week employees at The Commons, The Fountains, and Bacon Campus are providing direct, in-person care to some of the most vulnerable in our community and we want to say a special thank you.

While many are able to adjust work processes to telecommute during these “Stay at Home” orders, our 24 hour programs do not have that option. Our residents depend on them for critical care more than ever. The stress and pressure put on Hilltoppers at our 24/7 facilities is real. We recognize how hard you are working and appreciate each and every one of you.

We are just starting what looks to be a lengthy struggle with COVID-19. Our residents’ lives have been turned upside down and you are standing by them, making sure they stay as comfortable, connected, and healthy as possible. They are facing isolation and stress at not seeing family, or being able to eat with friends, or participate in their regular social activities, but you are going above and beyond to fill that significant void. You are doing an amazing job!

What we are asking of you is not easy, but is it so critically important. Appreciated by Senior Leadership, by your fellow Hilltoppers working remotely, by the family members of your residents, and by our community as a whole. Thank you for your care and compassion, your daily courage and your great integrity.  You are all great champions for putting People First!

Together, we got this

Mike
