    • The WFC continues to be an incredible asset to Hilltop and the county at large and there are recent figures to prove it! In the last year, Hilltop has saved over $120,000 by utilizing services such as work based learning programs, job postings, and job fairs. Employers throughout Mesa County have saved over $2.6 million by partnering with the WFC. Thank you to all Hilltop/County employees for making this partnership work for our community.
    • The LAP program recently had a skills training organized by the training supervisors and nursing team. The training consisted of transfer training, catheter care, compression stockings, personal protective equipment, and hand washing. There was an incredible turnout with 49 of the 51 care staff attending. Several staff expressed gratitude for the training stating it was informative, they learned something new, and that the training was much needed.
    • Hiking is a popular activity around Hilltop these days! Staff at the FRC have created a group that goes out after work and on weekends tackling hikes such as the Palisade Rim, Devil’s Canyon, and a full hike up the Monument- bottom to top! There are also two more opportunities to get out on a “Hike with Mike.” On Friday, October 25th at 3:30pm a group will be taking on Serpents Trail and on Saturday, October 26th at 10am they plan to go to Liberty Cap.
    • The FRC has recently received $40,000 in grants to add resources and support to already existing programs! This Food and Securities Grant will allow us to help clients fill out the SNAP application and educational resources to fight against stigmas that can come along with participating in this program.
    • Hilltop has successfully negotiated a contract with Connect for Health Colorado to make the Family Recourse Center a Medicaid Assistance site. Our shared philosophies of “no wrong door” will help individuals apply for and troubleshoot any issues with Medicaid funding. This will help us insure that everyone has access to healthcare and quality local physicians, especially children and expecting moms
