Watching the pain, grief, and frustrations caused by injustice and systemic racism playing out in our country has left all of us looking for ways to understand and support people of color in our communities. As the CEO, I want you to know Hilltop stands with those facing oppression and supports those raising their voices to make positive change. Hilltop’s mission and values clearly state we put people first by promoting inclusivity and condemning prejudicial actions. Now, more than ever, these values need to be clearly demonstrated by all of us.

Hilltop is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both our employees and clients. Racism and inequality are complex issues existing for generations and I know we aren’t immune to their impact. We won’t be able to fully address them overnight, but we can begin taking a decisive path forward. Step one is for all of us to listen and learn. I want to encourage each of you to make your voices heard by letting me and the leadership team know how you are feeling, what changes you believe need to be made, and how we can grow as a more diverse and inclusive organization. It clearly takes courage to initiate change, and I want to be the first to commit to my own learning and growth. By working together we will create meaningful change.
