Hilltoppers,
Today I would like to highlight a grant we were recently given that exemplifies amazing community collaboration. Western Colorado Community Foundation has pulled together donations from around the area to develop a fund where local nonprofits can give food to their clients and help support local restaurants. This not only helps on the individual level, but also stimulates our local economy.
The restaurants, including The Rockslide, Café Sol, Be Sweet, Rib City, Pufferbelly, Pantusos, Handlebar Tap House, and Enzos, have curated special menus designed to travel well and get to their destinations safely. As of today, we have been able to feed six Family Resource Center clients and the residents at RYS have been able to enjoy two large takeout meals.
We are honored to be a part of an intricate collaboration such as this. Putting people first on both the micro and macro levels of our community is where Hilltop shines. Thank you to all the staff involved in getting this food to the clients with the most need.
