Hilltoppers,
This is the first day of Governor Jared Polis’ Stay At Home Order for the State of Colorado which will remain in effect till Saturday, April 11. Hilltop is designated a critical business and therefore employees traveling to and from work are exempt from this order. All Hilltop staff should continue to come to work as currently scheduled. Staff currently working from home will not be affected.
I encourage all staff to wear their name tags when traveling to and from work. We will also be sending out “Essential Worker” stickers that can be adhered to the back of your name tags.
The Stay at Home Order also means individuals are only to interact with their household and only leave their houses for essential activities including:
- Obtaining food and other household necessities including medicine
- Going to and from work if you are an essential employee
- Seeking medical care
- Caring for dependents or pets
- Caring for a vulnerable person in another location
- Or participating in outdoor recreation at a legally-mandated safe distance of six feet
or more from other parties.
Also new today is the launch of the Hilltop Trading Post, where any Hilltopper in need can get help with food and supplies. They are currently accepting donations of non-perishable items including canned veggies/fruit/soups/meats, rice, pasta, noodles, flour, sugar, yeast, baby formula, paper products, Clorox wipes, bleach, detergent, Tylenol, ibuprofen, and personal hygiene items. You can also donate cash. To learn more go to HilltopTradingPost.org or call (970) 244-0430.
I hope that each one of you remember you are truly essential. You are the reason Hilltop continues running so smoothly. With all the uncertainty and changes COVID-19 is causing, our community will be counting on Hilltop’s services and support more than ever.
We got this.
Mike Stahl
