Happy Friday the 13th to those that are superstitious and those that are just a little ‘stitious.’ Today’s collection of Funday photos have a little more background to them that I want to share with you all.
First is the Veterans Day celebration at The Commons. A Girl Scout troop made some amazing cards and gifts to give to our resident veterans. And since they couldn’t have their typical veterans day celebration with guest from the community, the Commons installed a wall of honor. Staff gathered both old and new photos, and the maintenance team helped install it just in time for the veterans to see how much we appreciated them.
LAP also honored their six veteran residents in a special way. They lowered their old flag and asked two veteran residents to fold it. They then raised a new flag as they played the National Anthem. The old flag was given to one of the veterans to display in his apartment. All of the veteran residents received gift bags full of goodies to show our appreciation.
