Kara has been and employee at Hilltop for 6 years. Kara started as a Care Specialist at the Commons and has held multiple positions since, including Memory Care Manager, and most recently moved into our Leasing Executive role. During her time at Hilltop, in every position, she has shown that she lives Hilltop’s values. Below is what the team and her supervisor had to say when asked how Kara represents the Hilltop Values.

Relationships: She has always gone above and beyond to build relationships with her residents, their family members, as well as her team. She takes the extra time to walk through things, at their level, until she is positive that they have the information that they need.

Integrity: If Kara says something will get done, you can rest easy knowing that it will get done. She means what she says and says what she means.

Courage: Kara has always been full of great ideas and not afraid to share them. She speaks truth to power and challenges the status quo. We have made multiple changes as a result of courage.

Inclusivity: Kara works with her team on an individual basis to help reach of them in their individual goals. She meets everyone where they are and this has been such a great piece of her inclusivity.

Growth: Kara challenges herself on a regular basis to continue to grow. She started at the Commons as a Care Specialist, then QMAP, then Care Manager, Memory Care Manager, and now Leasing Executive.

Fun: Kara has always made sure that the environment for her residents is fun and engaging. She also participates in all of the Spirit Days/ Weeks and encourages her teams to do the same to make sure the environment is equally fun for her staff.
