Reflections

I have worked at Hilltop for 21 years. That is 1/3 of my life – not my career my life! The people at Hilltop have had a tremendous effect on me. There is a song in the musical Wicked that keeps running through my mind as I sort and pack:

“I’ve heard it said that people come into our lives for a reason – bringing something we must learn and we are led to those who help us most to grow, if we let them and help them in return… I know I’m who I am today because I knew you. Who can say if I’ve been changed for the better – I do believe I have been changed for the better – because I knew you, I have been changed for good.”

A major reason I have stayed at Hilltop so long is because I know the most amazing people in the world work here. You have inspired me over and over again with your kindness, your commitment to each other and our clients, and your dedication while doing jobs that are sometimes hard and scary and boring, In the midst of all of this you keep the faith that people can change, life can get better and you can make a difference.

I leave with great gratitude and am humbled to call myself a Hilltopper. My wish for each of you is that you remember you are of great worth and the world is better every day because of you.
