Hilltop Community Resources staff, in conjunction with Mesa County Public Health, held a Closed Point of Dispensing (P.O.D.) Pandemic Drill. Staff from Hilltop acted as both the screening and health services team as well as the people receiving vaccinations and medications. This drill is important for local organizations to be prepared in case of a pandemic in the Grand Valley. Officials from Mesa County Public Health say the more organizations that can screen and vaccinate their own staff and clients really help alleviate the number of public individuals that would need to be seen by doctors and hospitals in the event of an actual pandemic.
