Sandy is the leader of the High Fidelity WRAP program in Family Connections, .This consisted of, establishing and developing processes, seeking guidance from our Montrose counterparts, and educating our community on this new program as well as training staff. Her leadership shone through her creativity and self-determination/directedness to build something from nothing. Sandy faces any challenge with a positive attitude and smile on her face. This attitude permeates to her co-workers, her colleagues, and most importantly to the individuals and families she supports. Always putting people first. Sandy has really taken the lead in ensuring that we are focused on family voice and choice, making our all of our practices reflective of family values; as the saying goes, “nothing about us without us.” She empowers those she touches to take ownership of their own destiny, to be better advocates for themselves and their families, gently guiding families to use their voice and build capacity. Sandy ensures the family is at the center of all we do.

Although Sandy has faced some personal challenges, she is deperidable, her high quality work is consistent, and she always brings her optimistic attitude. She leads quietly, with gentle guidance, assuring all are respected and have a voice. Sandy has been with Hilltop for 17 years in a variety of programs, all focused around her passion of supporting youth experiencing challenging circumstances. She is the keeper of our history, and has nearly two decades of respected relationships with community partners. Throughout her Hilltop Journey, she has made a lasting impression on those she touches, implemented lasting changes that have guided programs to a higher standard of excellence. She is not afraid to challenge the status quo, holding us accountable to our program values. She solves problems in a solution oriented manner, when we wander she brings us back into focus, when we are struck she leads us to new standards. She hold us steady to fidelity and work that reflects best practice and high quality.
