Star goes above and beyond for her direct team and supporting departments at the Commons. She does this by caring with her whole heart. She is candid and caring when she interacts with employees and co-workers. Star is so vested in her contribution to Hilltop and her ability to impact individual’s lives. She treats everyone with dignity, respect, and love.

She has been a staple in many negotiations and hard conversations with the Commons residents. These conversations usually involve being a soundboard of concerns ranging from dining, kitchen, housekeeping and laundry. She can be trusted to make a plan around resolving whatever it may be.

Just for fun, Star is often caught steam ironing clothes for residents and table clothes for events. “Rock-Star” transferred into the role of Commons Supervisor for Environmental Services during a transitional time for the team she would be inheriting. She jumped in feet first, took over immediately, and started building a strong relationships with her employees.

Star is a lifelong learner. She fondly recalls times where she has learned from her experiences and mistakes. She sites individuals that she has learned from, who have empowered and inspired her. She is constantly in the pursuit of knowledge and is self-motivated for both personal and professional growth.
