Testing in our residential facilities has really ramped up in the last few weeks. We are now testing every staff and resident at The Commons, Fountains, and LAP twice weekly. That is on average 750 tests each week. Last week, our numbers were much better than the previous week; LAP and Fountains had zero new cases, and Commons had two positive resident and one positive employee.
Next week all Hilltop employees will have the option to utilize our testing site if you need to take a test as long as you are not symptomatic and have not had any food, drink, gum, or smoked within 20 minutes of testing. The drive through testing location is in the west parking lot of The Commons and hours are Mondays and Thursdays, 7:30a to 11:00a and 1:00p to 4:00p. Results of the tests will come directly to your phone or email.
To accomplish this huge task of testing twice weekly, we have roughly 30 Hilltoppers stepping up and supporting the testing teams outside of their normal duties in their home program or support services. I cannot thank these folks enough for going above and beyond the normal scope of their job. This is not a volunteer position without risk or frustration; they brave the cooling temps and sometimes less than thrilled people receiving tests. Thank you for supporting our residents and living the Hilltop mission of putting people first.
