Hilltoppers,

The news continues to be dominated by issues that emphasize our mission of putting people first. I have been moved by scenes of those peacefully protesting against racism and inequality, and was proud of yesterday’s Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the rights of LGBTQ individuals in the workplace. These issues matter because they strike at the core of what I believe makes us human.

Now more than ever, I take pride in our value of inclusivity which states we respect individual differences, ensure equal opportunities, and condemn prejudicial actions. All employees and clients, regardless of sex, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability, and religion, should feel equal, safe, and valued.  I recognize Hilltop is comprised of a diverse and passionate group of humans who want to make a difference. We need to push ourselves to live this everyday through our mission and values. We can recognize each other’s differences while remaining united through mutual respect.

Hilltop must continue to grow and evolve and I count on you to help guide our path forward. Many of us feel driven to make a difference and do something about these issues and I encourage each of you to learn more, use your voice, and champion your beliefs. My door is open and I value your opinions.

Mike
