Hilltoppers,
Today kicks off Nurses’ Appreciation Week (May 6 – 12). This is a time where we can celebrate the hard work, long hours, and continued efforts that our nurses have made for everyone at Hilltop. Please join me and show your appreciation to Marlys Harman, Carlene Gagliardi, Mallory Rodriguez, Tena Quillin, Stephen White, Leslie Wyatt, Jeannine Wagner, and all our nursing staff for being the glue that holds our care teams together.
While the work they do all year round is important to keep our residents and staff safe and healthy, it has been imperative in the last few months navigating our COVID-19 response. Collectively they bring over 200 years of experience in the nursing field to our ranks. It takes a huge amount of creative problem solving abilities to care for some of the medical complexities we see in our Senior Life Options, LAP and Residential Youth residents. These nurses continually put others before themselves, keeping a keen eye out for the details, and multitasking everything they do with grace and skill.
A huge part of Hilltop’s reputation in the community comes from the desire of our nurses to provide top quality care to those that entrust us with their lives. Thank you nurses, for the hard work and dedication to seeing us through these tough times, and for every resident and staff life you will touch in the future.
Together, we got this.
