Mykell is an influential leader who brings passion, dedication, and humor to the challenging, and oftentimes crazy, world of residential treatment. As a Case Manager, she focuses on building relationships with the youth, their families, and professionals in the community. Through these relationships, she engages all team members to promote understanding, cooperation, trust, and a drive to focus on the future. Mykell has a distinct ability to cut to the chase, promote accountability and navigate resistance (generally with an off-the-cuff joke) all while creating and maintaining life changing relationships. She is a fierce advocate for her “kids,” even in the face of adversity or opposition. She is not afraid to speak up, stand up for what is right or push for excellence. On a personal level, Mykell is caring, kind and comical. If you are having a good day or a bad day, Mykell is the one you look for, as she will share your smile or make you smile. Her attitude and enthusiasm are contagious to all that are fortunate enough to work with her. She is a friend to all and an outstanding role model for the youth and staff of RYS.
