Hilltopppers,

There is no doubt all of our lives and workloads have changed drastically over the last few weeks. One of the biggest changes we’ve gone through is asking many of you to adjust your work processes to telecommute during these Stay at Home orders. You have all had to come up with creative ways to work remotely with clients and each other. This was no small task as a human services organization with a “people centered” focus.

We have always championed Hilltoppers to strike a work/life balance, but now those lines are incredibly grey. I understand work has taken over your home office, living room, or even kitchen table. Your commute may be the shortest it’s ever been, but that loss of separation is hard. It is a daily struggle to juggle family, limited space, new equipment, and the ever-changing expectations to meet the needs of our clients. You all are doing amazing work.

Thank you for keeping Hilltop running smoothly while honoring social distancing. By staying home, you are allowing those in our 24/7 residential programs to more safely serve our clients. By harnessing new technology and creating whole new ways of doing things, we are still able to keep our programs operating and serve those in the community that need us the most right now. Thank you for what you’re doing; thank you for staying home.

Together, we’ve got this.

Mike
