Hilltoppers,

We are one week out from this year’s general election. Between the news cycle, social media, and discussion around the dinner table, talk about this election is all around us. A few weeks ago, I spoke about Hilltop’s commitment to supporting everyone’s right to vote in a non-partisan way. Voting is the most important way to make your voice heard on the issues that concern you and is an opportunity to be part of decision-making that affects your life. Besides for the “big ticket items” like the presidential and senate races, there are many local issues on this year’s ballot that impact our lives in a very direct way here on the Western Slope.

I realize many of you have voted already as Colorado has had its mail-in ballot system in place for several years, but if you have not, the Get Out and Vote committee has set up Voting Vans to help make the voting process easier. The Voting Van will have pick up locations at LAP, Commons, and Fountains, and deliver Hilltoppers round trip to the nearest polling center and back to campus. This is an awesome resource for employees with limited access to transportation or limited time outside of work during polling hours. Check out the flyer below for exact drop off dates, times, and locations.

If there is anything we as an organization can do to help you complete your civic duty this year, please reach out to your supervisor. There is also a new resource on our portal to find helpful links and information; CLICK HERE to check it out.  Let your voice be heard- your vote matters.

Together, we got this,

-Mike
