Hilltoppers,

Mike Stahl is taking a well-deserved day off, so today I’m taking over the daily update with a special thank you.

It is an understatement to say things have changed around here lately. We have had to adjust how we do almost everything to keep our clients, residents, and employees safe. There may be no group of employees impacted more than those who are serving in our new Universal Worker positions. These folks have not only changed how they do things, but what they are doing entirely. From the moment we started implementing COVID-19 precautions, it has been all hands on deck, and this group of Universal Workers stepped up to the plate and were willing to be reassigned to locations and positions that needed them the most.

These Hilltoppers came into different buildings and programs having little idea of how things work and what they would be doing. The willingness they’ve shown to contribute their skills and talents in a different way, truly exemplifies the meaning of putting people first. I’ve heard from many supervisors saying what a great addition these employees have been to their teams; helping in so many different parts of programs without complaint. Supervisors have said that once these Hilltoppers go back to their own roles, the programs they’ve shared their hearts and talents with over the months are going to feel a big void. We are so grateful for all of the Universal Workers. Thank you for all you do; you are very much appreciated.

I agree with Mike. . .together, we got this,

Will Hays
