🌟 August Mission Champion: Nicole Stahl 🌟
We create connection to build a community where everyone belongs—and Nicole Stahl is a wonderful example of what it looks like to live that mission every day.
Nicole consistently goes above and beyond for our residents, our staff, and Hilltop as a whole. Whether she is taking on large-scale program changes, finding ways to save our residents money, leading committees, or stepping into new challenges, she continues to show up with heart, determination, and a commitment to making Hilltop better.
Here’s how Nicole brings our six Hilltop values to life:
Relationship: Nicole has a genuine gift for building relationships. Whether she is connecting one-on-one or bringing a group together, people know she truly cares. She greets everyone with a smile—whether in person, over the phone, or online—and that warmth carries through every interaction. Her ability to make residents, staff, and community members feel seen and valued is a true reflection of this value.
Integrity: Nicole stays grounded in her morals and values, even when no one is watching. She continues to move forward and do what is right, even when working independently. In challenging situations, she approaches performance management and conflict with kindness, clear boundaries, and integrity—always keeping the people involved and Hilltop’s mission at the center.
Growth: Nicole is not afraid to learn, take on something new, or stretch outside of her comfort zone. Over the past year, she has taken on major program changes, including vetting and implementing new pendants and Lifeloop. She also recently took a leap and applied for an opportunity that challenged her to step beyond her documented experience. Rather than letting that hold her back, she stood up and said, I’m ready to grow.
Inclusivity: Nicole wants everyone to feel like they belong and are part of the Hilltop community. She brings people together regardless of age, background, or role and makes an effort to ensure everyone can be part of the experience. Her work to connect residents with resources—including helping 86 residents access free streaming services through their Spectrum plan—is just one example of how she looks for ways to make life better for others.
Courage:Â Nicole has stepped into difficult situations and leaned into challenges, even when they were unfamiliar. She has taken on performance management, addressed conflict and resident concerns, and pursued opportunities that pushed her beyond what she had done before. That willingness to take the leap, speak up, and keep moving forward is courage in action.
Fun: Nicole brings fun wherever she goes! From joining a game of Cribbage to cracking a joke, she has a way of making sure people leave an interaction with a smile. She has also helped create fun and connection on a larger scale by leading committees for Hilltop events like the Recognition Banquet and Bash decorations, and even helping start Hilltop’s first Christmas parade before we moved downtown.
Nicole consistently helps us achieve our mission by creating connection and building community. She brings Hilltop to life through the way she interacts with residents, coworkers, and everyone she encounters. You can feel how much the mission means to her—and that feeling is contagious.
Recognizing Nicole as a Mission Champion is a reminder that our mission isn’t just something we talk about. It is something we live. Nicole helps others experience what Hilltop stands for through her everyday actions, and in turn, inspires those around her to appreciate and live out our mission, too.
Please join us in celebrating Nicole for this well-deserved recognition! 🎉💙
