During a time of construction, COVID-19, and chaos, Colleen has walked the tightrope of 2020, balancing residents requests and needs, along with regulation and policy. Over this past year Colleen has brought joy to our residents and team by: helping residents paint two murals on temporary construction walls during the dining room construction and meeting with Cottage residents, who can not come into the building for activities, to host weekly Jeopardy. She also has been known to help the dining room team by delivering meals to the Cottages and main building residents. Colleen meets with every resident by using the most common connection, FOOD! (Cocktails, banana splits, creamsicles, cookies, and more.) She has brought new activities to the building like a knitting and crochet group, painting classes, and more. She also has been known to draw a mustache under her mask, to give residents and team a light moment of laughter. Colleen is the personification of Hilltop’s value of fun; she takes her job seriously, but not herself. Joy and fun just follow her.
