Hilltoppers,

We have all had to get a little creative, and more than a little flexible, in the last few months. I’d like to call your attention to a cool new service we are providing our Cottage and Patio Home residents. This new service is the definition of what out of the box thinking and collaborative efforts looks like here at Hilltop. We are calling it the Cottages Concierge service.

Restricting access to our Fountains and Commons buildings to essential personnel only, not only effected those that reside within, but had an impact on the 92 residents that live just outside those walls. These folks are a part of our Senior Living Community family and were used to coming in for meals, socialization, and recreation. To help meet their needs we pulled from our fabulous pool of talent including Joy French, Erin Carroll and a call center team in Montrose to field incoming phone calls, Brenda Fransen to coordinate scheduling, Christy Higgins and the team at ADRC to use their connections and resources, many many volunteers, staff and displaced workers pitching in to make the meal deliveries, and Sheryl Click to bring it all together to work smoothly.

This Cottages Concierge service is available to our residents to call with anything they may need. They mostly use it to order meal delivery from our kitchens, but it is also a lifeline to get work orders filled quickly, socialize with a friendly voice on the other end of the phone, or triage any need they might have in a timely manner. We have delivered things like masks/PPE, puzzles and board games, birthday surprises and even chocolate bunnies and flowers for Easter.

This is just another great example of Hilltoppers going the extra mile to make sure needs are being met. If you have interest in helping out with this service, please contact Sheryl Click at 244-0659. Thank you to everyone that makes this creative and vital service possible for our residents.

Together, we got this,

Mike
