Kristy started her journey with Hilltop in December of 2017 as a Care Specialist, quickly getting her QMAP certification and a year later moving into a Memory Care Specialist 2 position after becoming Dementia certified. Approx. 1 year from that time Kristy became our QMAP Supervisor-her current position.

Her bright smile, positivity and energy hit you first, her determination and self-motivation follow quickly. Thus far I believe Kristy has achieved every Hilltop goal she has set for herself. She frequently says she loves her job. This is self-evident when she shares that “the light has come on” for a QMAP she has been mentoring. She is invested in the outcome of her efforts.

Kristy frequently asks herself and others “how do we make it better”?
She takes training to her staff-frequently flexing her schedule to allow for supporting day, evening and night shift QMAP staff. She never hesitates to take the initiative to actually observe how her staff are functioning at crucial times-offering observations and interventions for their success.
She is always eager to learn and once she acquires a principle, protocol or standard, her critical thinking skills allow her to apply that principle to all similar circumstances. This is invaluable for an efficiently run QMAP team.

Kristy does not make excuses or hesitate to accept responsibility for her actions. She comes prepared by seeking out applicable learning experiences to ensure she stays ahead of her job expectations.

Kristy understands the value of empowering her staff and does so daily giving them resources and the expectation that they’ll take on their shared responsibility as they work through their day, using her as a compass to keep them on track towards safe and accurate medication administration.

Kristy Nash is Hilltop.
